HOW TO PLAY
Four guesses. Earn the board.
Name the moments you think the internet remembers most, build the highest score you can, and try to reach the daily Target Score.
The objective
Every daily category has a hidden Top 8 worth exactly 100 board points. More prominent moments are worth more points. Your main goal is to reach the Target Score within your four opening guesses.
Study the category
Each puzzle asks for specific moments or performances connected to one basketball category. The category artwork sets the scene without revealing the answers. Press Start Playing to begin; simply opening the page does not start your game.
Make four opening guesses
Exact wording is not required. You can identify a moment using a recognizable combination such as the player, action, opponent, game, year, or result. A correct match flips its panel and adds that answer’s board points to your score. An unmatched or off-board answer uses one guess.
Get help without losing a guess
If an answer is relevant but too broad, the game asks you to be more specific and does not use a guess. If more than one moment could fit, you may be asked to select what you meant. Repeating an answer already found also does not use a guess.
Reach the Target Score
The Target Score equals 70% of the points available from the four highest-valued answers, rounded to a whole point. It is designed to be reachable with three strong correct guesses, so one miss does not automatically end your chance to win.
🔥 Unlock Heat Check
Get all four opening guesses correct to unlock the extra-credit round—reserved for those with true ball knowledge. You enter with one extra life. Your first wrong answer uses that life and puts you on your last chance; a second miss ends the run. Find all eight to earn a Perfect Board.
Review and share
When the game ends—or when you choose to finish early—the full board is revealed. Select any revealed panel to watch its linked moment without leaving the game when embedding is available. Copy or share a spoiler-free result showing your score, Target Score, ranks found, and streak.
Your progress stays on this device
Game progress, sound preference, and streak are saved locally in your browser so the public game does not require an account. Clearing browser storage or switching browsers or devices can reset that local progress.
